eHallpass helps schools manage student movement. Sometimes, you might forget your password. This guide explains how to reset your eHallpass password.
If you sign in to eHallpass with a username and password specific to eHallpass, follow these steps:
1. Go to the eHallpass Login Page First, open your internet browser. Type the web address for your school’s eHallpass system. Your school provides this address. It might be a general eHallpass website or a special page for your school.
2. Find the "Forgot Password?" Link Look at the login screen. You will see places to type your username and password. Near these, find a link that says "Forgot Password?" or something similar. Click this link.
3. Enter Your Account Email The system will ask for your email address. This is the email address linked to your eHallpass account. For students and teachers, this is often your school email. Type your email address in the box.
4. Click the Reset Button After you type your email, click the button to ask for a password reset. This button might say "Submit," "Send Email," or "Reset Password."
5. Check Your Email Inbox eHallpass will send an email to the address you gave. This email contains a special link to reset your password. Open your email program and look for an email from eHallpass. If you do not see it, check your spam or junk mail folder.
6. Click the Reset Link in the Email Open the email from eHallpass. Find the password reset link inside and click it. The link will take you to a new web page for creating a new password.
7. Create Your New Password On the new page, you can make a new password. Type your new password into the box. Some systems ask you to type it a second time to confirm it. Choose a password that is easy for you to recall but hard for others to guess. Follow any password rules the page shows, such as needing a certain number of letters or a special character.
8. Save the New Password After you create the new password, save it. You can now use this new password to sign in to eHallpass.
Many schools connect eHallpass to other login systems. These can include:
Microsoft
Clever
ClassLink
If your school does this, your eHallpass password is the same as your password for that other system.
If You Use Google to Log In (Sign in with Google)
If you click a "Sign in with Google" button to use eHallpass, your eHallpass password is your Google account password. To reset this password:
Go to the Google account recovery page.
Follow Google’s steps to reset your Google password. Once you reset your Google password, you will use the new one for eHallpass.
If You Use Microsoft to Log In (Sign in with Microsoft)
If you click a "Sign in with Microsoft" button (this could be for Office 365 or an Azure account), your eHallpass password is your Microsoft account password. To reset this password:
Go to the Microsoft account password reset page.
Follow Microsoft’s instructions to change your password. Your new Microsoft password will then work for eHallpass.
If You Use Clever to Log In
Clever is another service schools use for student logins. If you log in to eHallpass through a Clever portal or a "Log in with Clever" button, your eHallpass password is your Clever password. To reset this password:
Go to your school’s Clever login page.
Look for a password reset option there. Your school or Clever provides these steps. When you update your Clever password, it updates for eHallpass too.
If You Use ClassLink or GG4L to Log In
Similar to the services above, if you use ClassLink or GG4L, your password for eHallpass is managed by ClassLink or GG4L. To reset this password:
Visit your school's ClassLink or GG4L portal.
Use their password reset function. Your school’s IT team can help you find these pages if you have trouble.
When you use these connected services, you do not reset the password directly on the eHallpass site. You reset it with Google, Microsoft, Clever, or ClassLink.
Some schools use eHallpass kiosks. These are special computers where students can create a hall pass. Students might need a separate "Kiosk Password" for these machines. This Kiosk Password might be different from their main eHallpass login password.
Setting or Changing a Kiosk Password
Usually, students set up their Kiosk Password from inside their main eHallpass account:
Log in to eHallpass with your usual username and password (or through Google, Clever, etc.).
Look for account settings or a profile section. This section might have a gear icon.
Inside settings, you may find an option to create or change your Kiosk Password. This Kiosk Password is often a short PIN or a simple password for quick use at the kiosk. If you forget your Kiosk Password, check your eHallpass account settings to change it.
If you try these steps and still cannot reset your password, your school can help.
Contact Your School’s IT Support Your school’s technology department (IT support) can assist with password problems. They understand how eHallpass works at your school. They can guide you or sometimes reset the password for you.
Talk to a Teacher or eHallpass Administrator A teacher or a school staff member in charge of eHallpass can also offer help. They can show you the correct steps or contact IT support for you.
